Jese Lawrence

Bringing the small town sound back

Born and raised in the mountains of southern British Columbia, Jese Lawrence writes songs that feel lived-in — gritty, honest, and deeply human. Drawing from a background as an Army veteran, wildland firefighter, tree worker, husband, and father, his music blends the raw storytelling of Americana with the edge of modern alt-country.

Influenced by artists like Tyler Childers and Zach Bryan, Jese has built a sound rooted in acoustic grit, powerful lyricism, and unforgettable live performances. Whether playing stripped-down solo sets or backed by a full band, he delivers songs that connect with blue-collar workers, small-town dreamers, and anyone chasing meaning through hard times and good stories.

Following standout performances across the Okanagan, including opening slots for major Canadian country acts and appearances at CCMA showcases, Jese is quickly becoming one of western Canada’s rising voices in independent country music. His songs balance rugged authenticity with emotional depth.

With new music rolling out steadily through 2026, including his latest single “Crooked Kind,” Jese Lawrence is carving his own lane in country music.
